Odds n Ends - a sort of update
Things are crazy, but here are some notes and observations:
- Barry has once again gone temporarily crazy and asked me to preach at Cornerstone on October 28. I get "The Fall." That should be fun.
- Attention Sprint: you do not get to tell me what I dreamed of as a kid, and you most especially do not get to retroactively make it so that I dreamed about the product you now happen to produce. No little kid dreams of a magic screen that connects them to other people.
- The Big Bang Theory is so far the best surprise of the fall TV series. It makes me laugh. That is a good thing. Sample quote: "In what organizational system is a tray of flatware on a couch valid? At least, I presume it's a couch. The evidence suggests that the coffee table is holding a tiny garage sale." My dear wife, when she could breathe again, gasped, "Organizational nerd humor!"
- My fantasy team sucks to date, but who could've guessed that the Rams and the Saints AND the Chargers would be virtually unable to generate offense?
- Comics as Literature is going great. And we've got Persepolis as the common book at Century this year. It's a good time to be a comics fan at Century College.
And apparently, that is all I know at the moment.
